The weather has certainly been erratic this planting season, but as they say..."If you don't like the weather in Kansas; wait 10 minutes, it will change!". The biggest concern has been our lack of moisture and the lawns in the area are looking very dry, as I write this newsletter, I'm watching the weather to see if we'll receive rain. We have a great selection of bedding plants and perennial plants. (Remember, annual plants have 1
growing cycle, perennials return each year from the root stock.) Our newly redesigned perennial area is easy to shop in with the plants on tables so the plant labels are readily
accessible and readable. We've also received a new shipment of PatioGlo pots. These pots burn a special Biofuel and are for indoor or outdoor use. They make great gifts, I suggest buying one for yourself to enjoy in your outdoor living area this summer, the citronella gel will keep the bugs away! Happy Spring! Sincerely, Sherry Robinson

The BestTips for Attracting Butterflies!
Adding perennial plants to your gardens, purple coneflower (echinacae), Gaillardia, beebalm (mondarda), and oregano are just a few great choices.
Annuals like zinnias or lantana are also great choices .
Water is also very important. Butterflies like to spend time in areas with moisture (even mud puddles will attract them).
Be very careful using insecticides in area you want butterflies!
