Annuals - Perennials?? Which is which?
Beginning gardeners, please don't be scared off! One of the best things about gardening is that it can be tailored to suit your needs, experience, and even your budget. Start with your current landscaping as a base, and try to figure out a way to integrate color and texture into what is already there.

A few basics:

Annuals are plants that complete their life cycle within one season. Examples: marigolds, petunias, impatiens, zinnias.

Perennials generally live for several years, though some are longer-lived than others. This varies greatly depending on the climate, weather conditions, insects, and of course, the plant in question. No matter what your garden situation, there are a number of perennials to choose from. Our staff works with and gardens with these plants every day.
